Ms. Victoria Kwakwa, Former World Bank's Country Director for Vietnam was awarded the social science insignia for the contribution and co-operation in the social and science activities by Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.

Thanks to the support of Ms. Victoria and World Bank Vietnam, the activities in social and science Vietnam has taken a giant leap in the recent years. At the ceremony, Professor and Doctor, President of VASS, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan emphasized that the insignia was an acknowledgement of the huge contribution of Ms. Victoria Kwakwa. He also congratulated Ms. Kwawa on her new position: Ms. Kwakwa will in charge of Regional Vice President of World’s Bank for East Asia and Pacific after her term at World Bank Vietnam.

Spoke at the ceremony, Ms. Victoria Kwakwa expressed her opinion about social science in Vietnam and her thank to VASS.
