Train-the-teachers program – Developing environmental law champions

The course was opened based on the agreement between Asia Development Bank and Hanoi Law University, in co-operation with the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law.

The course was included in a sub-project “Strengthening capacity for environmental law in the Asia-Pacific: Developing environmental laws champions” within the project “Regional capacity development technical assistance” sponsored by ADB. It aims to upgrade the quality, skills and teaching methods for the tutors who teach environmental law in Vietnam.

The participants were introduced about the global, regional environmental issues and environmental law included: Protection of biodiversity, natural and cultural heritage, national resource management law, climate change, clean energy law, international environmental law, regional environmental law(ASEAN), goals and principles of environmental law, environmental dispute resolution… In addition, they acquired much experience in teaching and researching environmental law, designing course and exercises…
