International Seminar: Improving the capacity of the supply chain of ASEAN textile industry towards sustainable development.

On 1 November, Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS) and Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) jointly held the international Seminar: “Improving the capacity of the supply chain of ASEAN textile industry towards sustainable development”.


The participants were included Mr. Phan Chi Dung, The Ministry’s Director of Light Industry – Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Vu Duc Giang, VITAS President, the representative of countries in ASEAN Federation of Textile Industry (AFTEX) and managers of Vietnam textile corporates.

The delegate were presented the speech on subjects such as: AEC – TPP Economic Zone with ASEAN – Vietnam Textile, Evaluate the effect of RCEP to ASEAN Textile, Process of global outsourcing – Evaluate the influence of Free Trading Agreement (FTA), the role of international co-operation in creating advantages for commerce in long term of ASEAN Textile development, the strategy of producing safety and environmentally friendly textile product, Improving the labor relationship in South East Asia, The applying of e-commerce and its role in value chain management.
