About the event:

The Finland-Vietnam Innovation Partnership Programme Phase 2 organized its Final Demo Day on Saturday, January 23 at Rex Hotel, no. 141 Nguyen Hue blvd., District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The event showcases the 22 trained and supported startups and innovation system projects, launch new IPP Grant Calls, and review achievements of the Training of the Trainer program and the Innovation Accelerator Program during 2015.

In 2015 ‘first time in Vietnam’ world-class innovation and entrepreneurship training has been conducted through two programs:

a) 8-months long intensive Training of Trainers Program for 12 innovation consultants

b) 6-months long Innovation Accelerator Program for 22 innovation startup and system projects.

Final Demo Day is an opportunity for the 22 IPP-supported innovation teams to show their progress and achievements after receiving unique innovation training, coaching and financial support. Simultaneously 12 Innovation Consultants will receive their certificates of graduating from the first innovation ToT program in Vietnam certified by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Embassy of Finland to Vietnam.

A number of potential investors, donors and entrepreneurship support programs as well as representatives of related Government agencies were sharing their offering and support for startups.

At this event, IPP2 announced its new 2016 Grant Calls for Startup Ecosystem Developers and support to Vietnamese Universities and other Educational Organisations to improve their innovation and entrepreneurship training and related offering. These two programs emphasizes the facilitator role of IPP2 for innovation startup ecosystem development and collaboration.
